April-August 2026 UPDATES…
August 2026—FJC continues working on Alternate Trail Routes Proposal-
Continued efforts for helping redirect the City of Redding to consider possible alternate trail routes with already existing trails in their system is being developed in a comprehensive written document by our in house conservation biologist.
FJC Fundraiser April 2026
We had a successful fundraiser and raffle at Fratelli’s Pizza downtown Redding with live music by a gathering of local musicians and folks supported Fratelli’s by ordering in-house and takeout pizza! We were delighted by the great response to our fun event and all the support from members and new friends!
FJC May 2026 Walking Tour of the Jenny Creek Openspace
A group of 20 gathered at TR Woods Park on a Sierra Club sponsored walk with walk leader David Ledger through the greenbelt. With his expertise David educated on native plants and habitat. We all met back at the park for refreshments and for new folks to join FJC by signing our petition!

April 19, 2025 Friends of Jenny Creek…
A small group of us headed to the Earth Day Redding Event in Caldwell Park on Saturday, April 19th, 2025.We rented a booth, donated by a FJC member, set up our canopy provided by another member and set up our FJC information! We had a great day meeting many interested folks, the weather was wonderful and we got a lot of support from passers by. We signed another 25 people to our PETITION and educated the public about protecting the Jenny Creek open space environment of our community.
We continue to NEED YOUR HELP to keep a vibrant presence in our community.
Help us help the Jenny Creek open space remain open, preserved and environmentally supporting the habitat, wildlife, flora, fauna, birds and humans who live here!
