FRIENDS OF JENNY CREEK

Last Spring in April 2025

Friends of Jenny Creek...

A small group of us headed to the Earth Day Redding Event in Caldwell Park on Saturday, April 19th.

We rented a booth, donated by a FJC member, set up our canopy provided by another member and set up our FJC information! We had a great day meeting many interested folks, the weather was wonderful and we got a lot of support from passers by. We signed another 25 people to our PETITION and educated the public about protecting the Jenny Creek open space environment of our community.

November 2025 UPDATES…

FJC working on Alternate Trail Routes….

Continued efforts are going into FJC ideas for helping to redirect the City of Redding, Community Services to consider possible alternate trail routes with already existing trails.

Latest on the City’s status on the proposed trail…

The COR Planning Department is now reviewing the submitted Application from Community Services Department for the proposed construction of an 8-16 foot, paved and lighted trail through the Jenny Creek Open Space.

We need continued HELP to keep a presence in our community. Your HELP is important to keep FJC vibrant in our community.

FJC needs to show up at meetings and to attend as a group City Council and Planning Commission meetings.

Help us help the Jenny Creek open space remain open and environmentally supporting the habitat, wildlife, flora, fauna, birds and humans who live here!

Please give us a call or email your comments/ideas!

What are you seeing on the Jenny Creek Greenbelt?
